2008 NBA All-Star Weekend

The 57th NBA All-Star Weekend gets underway in New Orleans, at the New Orleans Arena. Last year the West won 153-132, in Las Vegas, and the All-Star MVP was Kobe Bryant of the L.A. Lakers. Since the year 2000 the West have the lead winning five of eight. This year's Eastern All-star lineup looks like they can turn the tables on the Western All-stars success.

The starting five for the West are:

  • Kobe Bryant--L.A. Lakers
  • Allen Iverson--Denver
  • Carmelo Anthony--Denver
  • Tim Duncan--San Antonio
  • Yao Ming--Houston
Reserves are:
  • Carlos Boozer--Utah
  • Steve Nash--Phoenix
  • Dirk Nowitzki--Dallas
  • Chris Paul--New Orleans
  • Brandon Roy--Portland
  • Amare Stoudamire--Phoenix
  • David West--New Orleans
The starting five for the East are:
  • Jason Kidd--N.J. Nets
  • Dwayne Wade--Miami
  • Kevin Garnet--Boston
  • LeBron James--Cleveland
  • Dwight Howard--Orlando
Reserves are:
  • Chauncey Billups--Detroit
  • Chris Bosh--Toronto
  • Caron Butler--Washington
  • Richard Hamilton--Detroit
  • Antawn Jamison--Washington
